Cassie has been with us in foster care for just over three weeks now. She has an incredible temperament but is still a bouncy puppy in many ways.
The Good:
Very friendly with people
Very friendly with dogs
Clean in the house (did have some settling-in accidents)
LOVES a cuddle
Used to being crated overnight
Basic commands sit and stay
Basic recall (needs work on recall from distractions)
Very food-motivated
The Bad:
Jumps up a lot. Can’t keep 4 paws on the ground. The new owner will need to keep working on this. She is good with children but the risk of knocking them over means I wouldn’t recommend a home with resident children under 10. She could be managed around visiting children.
Will Barge through doors unless you tell her to stay
Doesn’t love being left but copes with it OK. We manage this by crating her with a Kong toy or other food enrichment toy. She will whine for 10 mins then accept her fate and settle in.
