Max is a 4.5-year-old male (neutered)
This is the lovely Max, a sable long-coat boy born in 2021, and he is available for rehoming due to a relationship breakdown & changes in circumstances.
He is a lovely dog, and as a stranger visiting the property to meet him, after the initial bark, he was very friendly & calm. A really lovely dog that has been well cared for and has been with the present owner from a pup.
He is a happy, friendly dog around people; he has not lived with children but is used to their company with friends & family.
All up to date with vaccinations, etc., and used to short stays in local kennels for holidays.
Max has lived with another dog (a 3.5-year-old spayed bitch) until very recently. He is, however, now sensitive around unknown dogs out & about and not keen. He is known to bark at horses and, due to living in an urban environment, has had little exposure to other livestock, so this would need to be managed accordingly.
He is generally good on the lead; a harness is used, but he can pull on occasion. His recall is not always reliable around distractions, so he would benefit from further training.
He is fully house trained & crate trained & sleeps downstairs at the property in his bed; he also travels well.
The current owner works long hours, and with the change in circumstances, this means Max lacks the activity & company he is used to and enjoys.
