Mia uk re-homed

MIA – Black & Tan short coat 10 year old GSD spayed bitch .🩷🐾
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION IN THE SOUTH WEST currently located in the North Devon area🐾
Mia is a very affectionate and playful family dog who is very friendly and enjoys human interaction. She is a smart black & gold, short coated spayed female who is a youthful 10 years of age and has been in the same home since a puppy.
She is a happy, healthy dog who has been well cared for and is in great condition. She has lived in a family home and raised with young children. Crate trained.
Due to the current circumstances she is getting little exercise and exposure to other dogs and will bark at other dogs outside the home especially small dogs. But with more exercise and exposure we feel this will improve.
She is trained to obey basic commands and although not a working-line shepherd, she thrives on exploring her environment and would love scent-work & other mental engagement. She does pull on the lead and this would need further training from an experienced owner.
She is happy, healthy playful girl with no known health issues, food allergies or intolerances and has been much loved and well cared by her owners.
Not lived with cats previously and due to living in a fairly urban environment has had little exposure to other livestock so this would need to be managed accordingly. She is fully house trained and travels well.
The rehoming is due to no fault of her own because of a relationship breakdown and is now in a single person household. Due to work commitments & financial pressures her needs are not being met in terms of companionship and exercise. It is a very sad decision for her owner so no negative comments please, and felt to be in the best interests of Mia. Please note we will be looking to rehome Mia as an only dog.
If you can offer Mia, who is currently in the Barnstaple area of Devon , a suitable home please fill in the adoption form on our website please state MIA next to your name details.
The adoption would be subject to a home check & adoption fee & you would need to be prepared to travel to meet Mia.
If you have recently completed an adoption enquiry form and would be interested in Mia please e mail enquiries@southwestgsdrescue@org.uk
